Creamy Shrimp Fettucine

1lb shrimp
1/4 cup chicken broth
2 cloves minced garlic
3 cups mushrooms
1.5 cups whipping cream
1 tsp basil
1 tsp salt
8oz fettuccine
2/3 cup grated parmesan

Serves 4

1. bring 2 cups water to boil add shrimp boil 1 minute remove shrimp keep warm
2. continue boiling water add broth and garlic boil until you have 1/2 cup liquid left
add mushrooms and whipping cream
3. simmer over med heat, stirring occasionally for 6 minutes cook pasta
4. add shrimp to sauce heat for 1 minute spoon over pasta

time saver: use mushroom soup in place of whipping cream and mushrooms.
serve with steamed peas
